Second Language Learning

Second language learning

According to an author, second language learners, who try to learning of an additional language, at least some years after they have started to acquire their first language, may be children, or they may be adults. And the writer discusses about age because of the fact that many researchers believe that if a learner’s age is young, it is really helpful learning language. But it is still controversy. In addition, there are differences between individual learners. According to Gardner and Macintyre, there are two different groups. First group is that they have some special ability about learning language and the other is that they have strong motivation and goal. And finally, the author said that the learner as social being that the learner can leads social being it is good for their relationship with learning.

Personal response:
I agree with the author because I believe that if someone is younger it is better for learning language because in my case, I don’t understand their culture and life style sometimes it makes me hard at the same time I think that if I am young, I accept the culture easier. And also it is helpful learning English.
